Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 3 ½ cups (450g) all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 packet (7g) instant yeast (or 2 ¼ tsp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk (not too hot, around 110°F/45°C)
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter (softened, cut into cubes)

For the Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk
