Crème Brûlée Cheesecake: A Decadent Fusion of Two Classic Desserts

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

The crust of this cheesecake is made from crushed graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter. It provides a sweet, crunchy contrast to the creamy filling and is the perfect base for the dessert.

  1. Crush the graham crackers:
If you don’t have graham cracker crumbs, you can crush whole graham crackers by placing them in a food processor and pulsing until you get fine crumbs. Alternatively, place the crackers in a plastic ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix the crust ingredients:
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until everything is evenly mixed, and the mixture starts to hold together when pressed.
  3. Press the mixture into the pan:
Pour the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to press the crumbs down evenly. Make sure the crust is firm and compact, covering the entire bottom of the pan.
  4. Bake the crust:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Place the pan in the oven and bake the crust for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the cheesecake filling.
