  • ¾ cup (150g) sugar
  • 1 cup (250ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (50g) dark chocolate, melted
  • ¼ cup toasted almond slices (for garnish)
