Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together yogurt (or buttermilk), milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
- Shape the Biscuits:
- On a floured surface, gently roll out the dough to about 1-inch (2.5 cm) thickness. Use a round cutter or a glass to cut out biscuit shapes.
- Pan-Fry the Biscuits:
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of oil or butter.
- Place the biscuits in the pan, leaving space between them. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Lower the heat if they brown too quickly.
- Serve Warm:
- Transfer to a plate and serve immediately. These biscuits are delicious on their own or with butter, honey, or jam!
Tips for Success
