For the Sponge Cake:

- ¾ cup (150g) sugar
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (for chocolate layer)
- ½ cup (50g) ground walnuts (for walnut layer)
For the Syrup:
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- ½ cup (100g) sugar
- 1 tsp rum or vanilla extract
For the Filling:
- ½ cup (75g) raisins, soaked in rum
- ¾ cup (75g) ground walnuts
For the Chocolate Sauce:
- ¾ cup (180ml) milk
- 4 oz (100g) dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
