Pull-Apart Yeast Cake🇭🇺..

👩‍🍳 How to Make It

1️⃣ Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

2️⃣ Make the Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the egg, yolk, melted butter, vanilla, and the yeast mixture. Mix and knead until smooth and elastic (about 8–10 minutes). Cover and let it rise in a warm spot for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.

3️⃣ Prepare the Coating

In one bowl: combine sugar, cinnamon, and ground walnuts.
In another: melt your butter.

4️⃣ Shape the Cake

Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into small walnut-sized balls (about the size of a golf ball). Dip each ball into the melted butter, then roll in the nut mixture.

Layer them into a buttered bundt pan or round cake pan, slightly overlapping. Keep layering until you’ve used all the dough.

5️⃣ Let It Rise Again

Cover and let the assembled cake rise for another 30–40 minutes.

6️⃣ Bake It!

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until beautifully golden and puffed. Let it cool slightly before inverting onto a serving plate.

🧁 Serve It Up

Pull it apart while warm and watch it disappear! 😋
Traditionally served with a vanilla custard or a simple glaze, but it’s also divine just as it is.

💬 Ashley’s Tip:

“Make it ahead and reheat slightly before serving — your kitchen will smell like a bakery in Budapest 🇭🇺💫!”
