Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper.
  2. Add sliced beef, toss to coat, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Make the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch.
  2. Set aside.

Step 3: Stir-Fry the Steak

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over high heat.
  2. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until browned.
  3. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 4: Stir-Fry the Veggies

  1. In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Stir-fry garlic, bell peppers, and onions for 2-3 minutes, until slightly tender but still crisp.

Step 5: Bring It Together

  1. Return the beef to the pan.
  2. Pour in the sauce, stirring well.
  3. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats everything beautifully.
