This dish looks like a Cheesy Ground Beef and Potato Casserole!

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:
    • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
    • Add the diced onion and cook until soft. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Make the Sauce:
    • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to form a roux.
    • Gradually add heavy cream or milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the Casserole:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half the ground beef mixture. Pour half the sauce on top and sprinkle with half the shredded cheese.
    • Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, sauce, and cheese.
  4. Bake:
    • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
